CIO of the Year Award
The CIO of the Year Award has the aim to give recognition to the best performing CIO in that year. The performance aspects being measured entails IT performance, IT agility and project performance/attractiveness. But not only the performance aspects will be of importance. Just like last year the election will focus on leadership aspects and business and boardroom credibility.
New business models, cutting-edge technologies, a volatile world economy, and bottom-up driven social developments and needs are among the challenges present-day organisations have to cope with to remain relevant. This requires total transformation and breaking through the traditional frameworks. Whatever the frameworks you eventually end up with, a total transformation and breaking through frameworks call for a cross-functional approach, in which the COO, CFO, CMO, CEO, HR and the supervisory board member all play a part.
A good CIO is well prepared and has already strengthened the bonds with his fellow managers. Does the total transformation issue require new governance? Time for a broad discussion. Time for CIODAY2016. This year’s Award will be presented on the CIO Day 2016 on the 29th of November by HRH Prince Bernhard van Oranje-Nassau.
